TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROJECT MANAGER: INDIANAPOLIS

Hoch Associates is seeking a Junior Level Project Architect to manage and design the completion of mission critical projects in our Telecommunications Sector. Hoch Associates is an industry leading full service architectural/engineering and interior design firm specializing in the turn-key telecommunications market. We provide full turnkey services including site feasibility, architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, grounding, equipment integration, and site engineering for mission critical cable television, data center, broadband, wireless, and telephone buildings. We also specialize in full local and state AHJ permit acquisition for these facilities. We’ve completed over 400 deployments of mission critical telecommunications facilities in 3 countries, 44 states and over 300 municipalities. We both work directly for Owners and partner with contractors, the turn-key delivery process and team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

2-5 years professional experience. Intermediate level in organization. Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of profession. Work requires some self-evaluation, originality, latitude, and ingenuity. Relies on limited experience and judgment to accomplish goals. Prepares work for evaluation and approval by others. Under general supervision performs work that is varied and may be difficult but involves limited responsibility. Reports to Project Lead or Sector Manager. Duties and Responsibilities:

​Requires a bachelor’s degree.

  • Performs a variety of complex architectural and project management tasks.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking and accomplishing multiple project goals efficiently.
  • Possesses high level of organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in time management.
  • Travel out of state occasionally to conduct investigations and existing facility surveying.
  • Responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of a small to medium project, or multiple small projects of varying building types, construction types, and entitlement and delivery processes.
  • Oversees, plans, and executes timely completion of design and construction documents by utilizing staff resources to meet project plan, budgets and schedules.
  • Facilitates project meetings and present information graphically (in writing, and in person) to groups of managers, consultants, or staff.
  • May interact with and presents to clients for project related decisions and issues.
  • Selects, evaluates, and implements architectural procedures and techniques to use to complete projects.
  • Responsible for the development of architectural construction details.
  • Analyzes, integrates and coordinates new and existing systems into a unified building design.
  • Requires familiarity and experience with a variety of the profession’s concepts, practices, and procedures with an attention to detail and strong architectural design and technical skills.
  • Requires coordination and evaluation of the work done by external engineering and environmental consultants in relation to the architectural work and overall project.
  • Supervises the preparation of architectural plans and review completed plans and estimates.
  • Required to be proficient in using computer aided design (CAD) to create working documents.
  • Knowledgeable with construction management procedures and processes and construction costs.
  • Researches, selects and details required materials and assemblies that support the design goals and objectives in conformance with all applicable regulations and codes.
  • Ensures that all applicable codes, standards, and life safety requirements are met for the individual project.
  • Assists in the preparation of project specifications and RFP’s
  • Regularly reviews the status of work to ensure that details are well thought out, that team members are not delayed due to a lack of information, and that all drawings are completed on schedule and in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for review of architectural shop drawings.
